Ireland's first Specialist Clinical Service for the Treatment of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is now open in the Irish Family Planning Association (IFPA) clinic on Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin 1. The service opened on May 7th and aims to help almost 4,000 women who have had FGM inflicted upon them. To find out more about FGM in Ireland and the clinic visit the IFPA website.

Akidwa is a national network of migrant women living in Ireland. They have been an important driving force behind the setting up of this service and have a lot of information about FGM on their website.
